The groupie era during the 70s must have been an enchanting time and place to live in. In Almost Famous Penny Lane (Kate Hudson) manifest the great escapism of the era; the fun; the you-can’t-touch-me confidence and the fearless mentality. It’s an impossibly hard look to pull of, the hippie meets rocker. Still it has a clarity and meaning that’s very relevant at this time and age: the hideout from the world through party-esque clothes, ranging from belly button tops to great suede and fur coats. Rich patterned shoes and accessories with slimmed denims, cowboy boots with round glasses; a classic boheme meets a confident woman turns out bold. It’s a beautiful life: getting dressed up in a casual-meets-thoughtful look, dancing all night long, meeting new people too naive to fully understand the rush of fast connections and endorsement, and to the very end remaining certain of the fact – have no regrets.
